Republicans are all Disgusting Hypocrites

The democrat is lying on the grass, with his hands interlocked behind his head, casually watching the republican madness ensue. The hysteria is unrelenting. Everyday, Donald Trump does something that humiliates the republicans even more than yesterday.

While I watch republicans blindly running back and forth, with their hands waving over their heads, I can’t help but ask myself, what if Obama did ANY of the moronic and insulting things that Trump does.

What if Obama mocked McCain for being a POW? What if Obama cheated on his wife with a porn star? What if Obama insulted the man who caught Osama Bin Laden? There would be mobs of republicans outside Obama’s house, waving pitchforks and burning crosses.

Seriously! Republicans have always been about….gimme a second….uhm….tax cuts, abortion rights and military!? Military is like the most patriotic thing to respect. But now, after Trump has besmirched the GOP and left his yucky orange gook on it, republicans actually agree with Trump that this hero, maybe the greatest American hero alive, is actually a Hillary supporter, and should’ve killed Bin Laden quicker!!!???

But why would our president commence a devoted campaign to squash an American hero? Navy Seal Adm. Bill McRaven did nothing but criticize Trump. Such a seemingly innocuous action has unleashed the republican war dogs. Half the country despise this American hero, because Trump snaps his fat and orange fingers.

Even if we were to accept Trump’s insults, and condemn McRaven for not finding Osama bin Laden earlier, what are we to make of Trump’s military career? Surely, any mind that could find fault with an American hero for not finding a bad guy earlier, would despise someone who paid his way out of military service.

One simple answer — desperation.

Trump and the alt-right have given the GOP a new identity. They have become the party of hatred. Not easy to form reasoned arguments from this defense. Of course, sometimes they might seem a bit hypocritical.

Is McRaven’s inability to catch Bin Laden more disgusting than Trump’s refusal to serve our country? That isn’t even a legitimate question, cause McRaven was not supposed to locate him. He just swooped in and killed him. I don’t understand how he could be criticized at all. McRaven did what he was supposed to. Who knows? Maybe if McRaven was working in intelligence, we would have found him quicker.

That tweet above is an official GOP tweet. It is now official — the republican party condemns Adm. McRaven for being on Hillary’s list for vice presidents.

But which is it, Grand Old Party? Are you really condemning the man who caught the terrorist that killed more people on American soil than anyone else, and defending a draft dodger? Say what you want about Adm. McRaven, but he is an American hero. Are you really gonna defend a man who was being sued for scamming little high school students out of a college tuition?

GOOD GOD!!! What has happened to the republican party?

The only thing worse than a liar, is a hypocrite.

Just yesterday, it was determined that Ivanka used a personal email account to discuss official White House business. I wouldn’t think twice about this story on any other day. However, during the election, this was the paramount crime that Trump accused Hillary of committing. Apparently, Hillary’s use of an unprotected server enraged republicans so much, that they began chanting “lock her up”, believing that her crime justified her going to jail.

Like Adm. McRaven, Hillary Clinton is an American hero. I’m sure many of you scoffed at that last sentence. But if you weigh Hillary’s accomplishments, like her numerous achievements for women, her negotiation of the Trans-Pacific partnership, her charity which gets an A+ from every charity rating website, and the women equality speech she gave during the Chinese Olympics, which is considered one of the greatest speeches of last century, it is hard to say she is not an American hero.

The biggest irony of them all, is that America actually condemned this national hero, and embraced a man who was being sued at the time for molesting countless women.

How can they justify having no problem with Ivanka doing it, but demand Hillary’s head for the same crime?

Don’t they see how stupid it makes them look? When your argument is 100% based on passions and emotions, you are unable to form rational debates. Instead, you desperately search for any little flaw you can build a case against.

During the elections, for example, Hillary was considered the most qualified and Donald was considered the least qualified to ever run for president. There was nothing wrong with Hillary. As a result, republicans had to invent flaws.

Ever since I started writing this blog, I have been predicting the death of the republican party. This blatant hypocrisy only reiterates my prediction. This is not the GOP anymore. Nor is it the party of Trump. Republicans have become the party of the white supremacist.

Trump began his campaign by appealing to the alt-right. Trump embraced the far right segment of our population, which had been relatively ignored by politicians. This is Trump’s huge pool of support. When Trump praises white supremacy, he does so out of fear of losing this demographic. A lot of Trump’s presidential actions are to appease this group of voters.

As a result, we have a president who is devising legislation to appeal to a slice of the population that is uneducated and racist.

Many dictators, such as Hitler and Mussolini, rose to fame in the exact same manner.

However, we don’t have to worry about a genocide brewing up. What we should worry about, is allowing America to be ruled by fervent emotions. People become hypocrites when they don’t want to admit what is really sculpting their opinions.

Imagine the white supremacist who likes Trump just because of his calls to ban Hispanics from entering our country and kicking out Muslims. He might feel uncomfortable admitting that this platform is so enticing. Instead, he expresses his hatred for Hillary and her email controversy. As a result, it doesn’t bother him at all, when Trump’s daughter is charged with the same thing.
