Trump’s Terrible Tariffs Plunge Long Knife into the back of American Worker

During the election, if you ask any Trump supporter why are you voting for him, the answer would always be the same. After they lowered their meth pipe, they would look you square in the eye, and reply, “It’s the economy, stupid.”

Trump certainly had his share of misdeeds. However, despite the class actions at the time, that he scammed little high school students out of tuition, and another that he molested countless woman, the religious right threw all of their support behind him.

It isn’t a mystery why the religious right is supporting literally, a man who has devoted his life to scamming others. Please check out this article of mine, it briefly illustrates the crimes and schemes of the Trump family. Disgusting!

Anyway, the religious right voted for Trump because he is republican. That is all the counts. Whether the candidate is Mike Tyson or Don Knotts, if they have an ‘R’ next to their name, republicans will vote for them. Their support of the most vile and crooked politician is proof that republicans will vote for ANYONE as long as they are republican, and they say they are behind abortion.

They won’t admit this. If you ask them why they voted for Trump, they’ll say something about the economy and what a great businessman he is.

As proof of Trump’s brilliant business acumen, they’ll point to the marvelous economy we are in now. However, you can’t credit Trump for something that started before he got into office.

The current economic expansion just became the third-longest on record. The economy has been adding jobs every month for more than six years, the longest winning streak since World War II. And the federal budget deficit has sharply declined from a high of 9.8 percent of GDP in the middle of the Great Recession to a manageable 3.2 percent last year. — TheConversation

Also, what legislation did Trump enact to improve the economy? His tax cuts turned out to be a huge failure. Notice how during midterms, no republican politician mentioned them, cause they have done nothing.

The pay raise Trump promised the tax cuts would deliver? Six months after tax cuts enacted, only 4% of Americans got a raise.

The oodles of money that was supposed to trickle down from the nation’s six million employees who got the tax cut? Only a fraction of that is going anywhere but inside the warm piggy bank of the CEO.

Tax cuts would raise wages? According to government report, hourly wages for four out of five private workers have gone down because of inflation.

Despite this failed legislation, I got such a kick out of how quickly the republicans passed it. Trump’s tax cuts cost us about $2 trillion! How did Trump pay for a tax cut for himself and his buddies? He took away your wife’s healthcare, your sister’s public education, and your kid’s PBS programming.

That is why republicans are in office. They will tell you it is to protect the little fetus before birth, but the real reason is to get a tax break for their wealthy contributors. That is all they care about. As a result, they passed Trump’s tax cuts within hours after he was elected.

Remember how many years it took to pass Obamacare? Republicans fought legislation to improve the health of you and your daughter like the plague! But when it comes to saving money for their family and friends, they are all aboard!!! Shows you what is important to a republican.

Trump’s tariffs have been another failure for the American worker.

In September, Trump’s trade deficit with China reached an all time high, at $34.1 billion. But Trump’s genius business mind, placed $200 billion in tariffs on Chinese goods. (All Chinese goods, except the ones made in his daughter’s Chinese factory.) The Romper Room logic behind this one, is that Chinese goods will cost more to sell, thus consumers will buy cheaper American products.

But Beijing reacted by slapping their own tariffs on America goods.

In the end, it is a question of who can hold out the longest. Seems, America is losing it’s footing first. As a result of Trump’s tariffs, GM is closing five plants and laying off 14,000 American workers.

How many of those 14,000 voted for Trump?

George Skarich is the vice president of sales of the Missouri based Mid Continent Nails Corp. He was a huge Trumpkin. But after Trump’s tariffs caused his company to raise its prices by 20%, consumers just bought other nail glue, made by foreign competitors.

“He ran on ‘Make America Great Again,’ and the point was to defend and protect jobs in the United States,” Skarich told the Times.
“Now here is an action he decides to take that has the potential to cost 500 U.S. citizens their jobs,” he added, referring to the 25 percent tariffs on steel imports that Trump announced in March.

Harley Davidson is another great American company, that has been severely impacted by Trump’s steel tariffs.

Union: Harley-Davidson will ship work to Thailand from closing U.S. plant

What Donald failed to realize is that Harley has investors who don’t want to see their investments go down.
