An Ode to Ruth

Once more, into the fray.

Once more, into the fight.

For freedom,

For humanity,

For democracy.

We owe Ruth Bader Ginsburg all our muster.

We owe this country our love.

If we do not do all we can,

We are done.

This is our last chance.

Our last hope

Against unspeakable violence,

And a breakdown of everything

We know and hold dear.

So I step into the fray,

And ask you to do the same.
