Who does that!?
Well…me. Or at least that was me!
You might say I was, at times, obsessed with politics, and…
I would often get frustrated at the apparent apathy I would see in others.
Don’t you know what’s at stake? I would think (and sometimes say).
Why don’t you all care more about your country and what’s going on?
It’s important that we pay attention to politics!
What’s wrong with you people!?
And on and on.
Today, everything has flipped. Now I find myself wishing people were LESS interested in politics.
Today, too many Americans are obsessed with politics — and obsessed with having their needs, their wants, their values, and their agenda dominate the thinking and direction of society.
And it all comes down to expectations.
Too many Americans today have invested their hopes, their dreams, their emotions…
