January 6th Hearings Reveal Sickening GOP Preferences

Party over country and a government of “actors”

When the Watergate Hearings were being held between May and November 1973, I largely missed them. I was a young Army lieutenant serving in Germany and spent much of that time out on field exercises and training. In addition, my small base — or “Kaserne” as the Germans called them — was somewhat remote and did not yet receive the television broadcast from the Armed Force Network. I had to catch up with those famous hearings later. And they were riveting.
