I haven’t been a fan of Nancy Pelosi for a long time. And I’m a Democrat and a feminist. You would think that I would be in favor of her as Speaker of the House. But I’m not and this latest scandal involving a visit to a hair salon is the perfect illustration of why I think that she needs to go. In fact, she should have resigned years ago.

For anyone who has been living under a rock for the past week, this is what happened. Pelosi wanted a wash and blowout. No one was willing to come to her house to do it. Quarantine and all that.

For some reason, she didn’t think it was at all suspicious that her assistants were able to book her an appointment with an independent stylist who claimed that she could wash and blow dry Pelosi’s hair inside of a salon.

What started the firestorm was a video that was released of Pelosi walking from the shampoo area of the salon to the stylist’s station with her mask hanging around her chin. The other people in the video were all wearing masks.

Let’s examine that.

In San Francisco, hair salons are all closed. Stylists may only work on clients outdoors. Washing and blow drying are forbidden outdoors.
