Trump is already acting like a fascist dictator
Trump is completely out of control. Not satisfied with breaking the law himself, he is urging his supporters to break the law. He is also threatening to defund cities whose citizens are staging demonstrations. And he is heaping scorn on our brave military vets, including the dead who can’t defend themselves from this wannabe fascist dictator.
That’s a lot to throw at you all at once, so let’s break it down.
After months of complaining that mail-in voting would result in a fraudulent election, Trump while in North Carolina, suggested that his supporters vote by mail and then try to vote in person to “test the system”. His reasoning is that if “the system” works, people would not be allowed to vote in person because their mailed ballot would already be recorded.
There are a couple of problems with this, not least of which is that voting more than once is illegal and a felony in North Carolina. The other problem is that when a voter is mailed a ballot, that fact is noted in the voter rolls and they are not allowed to vote in person. If the voter is adamant that they did not vote by mail, they are allowed to cast a provisional ballot which will only counted if there is no mailed ballot from that voter.
