The marvelous difference 24 hours can impact the future of our kids
It’s funny how the world can change in 24 hours.
One day, the president sits in the Oval Office to sign over 140 presidential pardons.
Among others, pardons were granted to 5 political aids, 4 tax dodgers, 3 fraudsters, 2 rappers, and Ivanka’s father-in-law.
The following day, the president signed 17 executive orders to improve the economy, environment, health, and immigration.
Needless to say, I forgot to mention that though it was in the same place, it was a different president.
A false sense of security
Among Trump’s pardons on his last day, some notable absences are Don Jr., Erik, Ivanka, and Jared. Also, one for his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, and Tiger King star Joe Exotic.
There is also a rumor that he was thinking of issuing one for himself. But since it has never been done, and many scholars debate the validity, he discarded the option.
Other high-profile names were WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and whistleblower Edward Snowden. Maybe he thought it could be too much for Republicans and the publicity…
