I’m kind of a memorabilia geek. I love things that have historical significance. Sometimes the significance is more personal in nature, and sometimes the significance is broader, appealing to a wider audience.
I was looking at my collection of campaign buttons that other day, as I sometimes do, and began wondering what other political and historical geeks on Medium have. I thought this would be an interesting topic to blog about.
I have grown increasingly curious over the last few days. Some people are like me and don’t have a ton of cash to expend on things of this sort but maybe others do. Regardless of your situation, I want to hear what you political nerds have acquired over the years.
Campaign Buttons/Pins
My favorite item is my collection of campaign buttons, although I don’t have all that many. Campaign buttons can be a tricky collectible. At different times over the years, campaign buttons have been reproduced by numerous companies for different reasons. Everyone from the Liberty Mint to Cracker Barrel to Kleenex Brand has created reproductions on occasion.
