Well, that didn’t take long. Republicans disgusted with Trump and the direction of the Republican Party met not long ago to discuss either forming a separate party or establishing a faction within the party.

It appears that they have decided on the “faction” option, not quite breaking away but definitely in opposition to Trump.

Politico is reporting that party elders John Boehner, a former Republican Speaker of the House, and Paul Ryan, a former Republican Vice-Presidential candidate, have thrown their support behind two Republican incumbents that Trump has vowed to get rid of for personal reasons.

Everything is personal with Trump.

On Thursday, March 25, Ryan was a special guest at a fundraiser in Alexandria, Virginia for Liz Cheney who is running for re-election in the House to represent Wyoming. She is one of the ten House Republicans that voted to impeach Trump in January 2021.

I wonder if her vote to impeach had anything to do with Trump telling the mob to “get rid of” Cheney before he sent them off to invade the Capital and attempt to overthrow the government?
