The 2024 Election Is Going to Be a Disaster
Republicans are pulling out the stops to steal the White House
The landscape around the 2024 election is coming into sharper focus. Republicans have been laying the groundwork over the past few months to ensure that they are going to remain in power no matter what the will of the people is. This is some purely fascist machinations and it’s going on in broad daylight. 2025 could be a very violent and nasty year if something significant doesn’t change between now and then. When you have a toxic mix of disinformation, polarization, awful job prospects and lots of guns, it’s not going to end well.
We all know that Trump lost the 2020 election fair and square. There really isn’t a debate about it, unless you are a loyal Trump supporter and don’t believe reality, but he lost. Get over it. Even many Republicans agree. But the Republicans keep lining up behind Trump and the Big Lie for a variety of self-serving reasons, but they have done little to waver from it because for some reason they think they can win with a loser like Trump. Actually, I think they have outgrown Trump in many ways on the road to fascism. They have had many chances to take the off ramp from his highway of lies and deceit, but they continue down this path of destruction.
