We here at Politically Speaking appreciate the time and effort you put into your submissions. Our goal is to help you put your best foot forward by catching issues with spelling, grammar, punctuation, structure, and flow.

To be effective, we need to be able to access your draft articles and go through the editing process without interruption. You may not be aware that if you attempt to make changes or even just reply to one of our “personal notes”, you inadvertently override our editing. Medium will always prioritize the author rather than the editor. Therefore, if we are in the middle of a note or a change to the content (think spelling, punctuation), we lose what we are working on. Medium will not allow the editor to save their work, and we may lose material.

Please refrain from going into your article to make any changes/corrections until after you are notified that the editor has completed their review.

If you are using Gmail, please remember that the software combines related emails into one conversation. This means that you may receive notification that your article has been reviewed, but it may be grouped in with other emails associated with comments from the
