The January 6th insurrectionists and, more importantly, those that incited that event, whether they were part of the riot or not, are starting to learn the truth in this quote.

March has been a bad month for the insurrectionists so far

Several legal developments in the last two weeks mark a new phase in the January 6th Select Committee and Department of Justice (DOJ) investigations and reveal some interesting aspects of the events surrounding that day:

  • Trump directly implicated. For the first time, the January 6th Committee has stated, in a court filing, that former President Trump may have committed crimes associated with the insurrection.
  • Eastman knew it was illegal. The filing mentioned above was made in the case of former Trump lawyer John Eastman and his attempt to withhold emails from the committee. Eastman authored the “Eastman memo” spelling out the plan to have Vice President Pence refuse to recognize electoral votes from swing states and throw the election to Trump.
