Carlson’s demagoguery keeps his audience angry and hostile to the system that should hold them to a higher standard

With an increasingly hostile political environment, there have been several loud and boisterous personalities on the big screen. They yell, rant, and rave about the day's news, many times ripping into their critics with an unyielding fervor that satiates their audiences. It is a part of the new political atmosphere, people reward boldness, but with this new media ecosystem, there are a few commentators who take that intensity to a new and dangerous level. Tucker Carlson is one such person.

Tucker Swanson McNear Carlson, has been a media figure for decades. Ever since he began his career working for the conservative Policy Review as a fact-checker, Carlson has worked his way into politics with a clear focus on his style and what his audience wants.

Carlson has evolved in significant ways in his commentary. Even during his time with CNN’s Crossfire, an admitted source of mockery for the young commentator, Carlson’s rhetoric is far less hostile than it is today.
