Why We Should Be Thanking Donald Trump in 2023

His presidency may have helped improve our democracy

It’s a new year. And as I do every holiday season, I’ve been reflecting on the state of our world and what we might do to improve it. However, this year’s exercise has brought with it a startling realization.

I think we’re all being just a little too hard on Donald Trump, and we should probably thank him rather than berate him.
