A Current Ideological Mess: The Odd Interplay of Left and Right

It was relatively easy to understand the plots through which left or right ideologies were woven. In broad strokes, on the left, there were fights for social justice, the valorization of multiculturalism, and the defense of the oppressed — no wonder some call Jesus the first communist in history — the fight for social well-being, state intervention in health, education, and the economy to ensure a more egalitarian society.

On the right, the ideological philosophy of belief in individual freedom, free and self-regulated markets, cultural conservatism with the preservation of traditions, exaggerated nationalism and patriotism, the defense of property, and the motto of order and security interconnected with all the others, among others.

Many associate the left with evolution and the right with stagnation, without this implying any value judgment. And before anyone accuses me of anything, I say that I adhere to a left-wing ideology.

But, like almost all humans who are more than a concept they support, there are ideas on the right that I do not dismiss immediately just because they are labeled as belonging to that group. (Here is a current evil
