They’ve raped and pillaged every single aspect of treasury the American public has paid in and now they’re after the Social Security and Medicare you’ve paid in every year of your working life. There is nothing else for them to go after. They’ve managed to completely drain the American public of any semblance of prosperity by way of stealing their retirement funds and taking huge balloon bonuses on profits instead of disbursing them to those who have worked hard and invested their lives with the companies.
Social Security is not an “Entitlement” as their mantras state over and over again. It is money you have paid into a savings for the future with the promise the government will manage it properly so it will be there for you when you reach 65 and are ready to retire.
Yes, employers are required to match the Social Security and Medicare paid in by the employee, but they also get to use this amount as an expense to write off against their taxes.
Creation
In the 1930s, the New Deal introduced Social Security to rectify the first three problems (retirement, injury-induced disability, or congenital disability). It introduced the FICA tax as the means to pay for Social Security.
In the 1960s, Medicare was introduced to rectify the fourth problem (health care for the elderly). The FICA tax was increased in order to pay for this expense.”
As a person who has been self employed most of my adult life, I have had to make that match myself and have paid it in every single year. I am damn tired of those in Congress speaking of it as if I am not ENTITLED to it when I reach 65. I damn sure am!!! And I guarantee you, I’ll not stand by and let them steal it from me!
It is the Congress that feeds off you and I. It is not the poor or disenfranchised. We pay huge salaries to these people who do not work most of the year, but make sure employers don’t have to employ you for 40 hours nor give you any benefits or decent wages. It is Congress who gets free health care while trying to deny you basic healthcare. Well, Congress’ healthcare ain’t FREE! You and I pay for it by way of our taxes. They also receive pay and insurance for life after they are “fired” (voted out). Who else do you know that receives such benefits after they’ve been fired?
Why are we American people fighting amongst ourselves about this Congressman or that when it is they who control our not being able to make a decent living and then scream about ENTITLEMENTS? They are the slugs, the disgusting leeches, the vultures. It is they who need to lose the entitlements they are afforded while doing absolutely nothing.
