It has been said that art can be found everywhere, even in the strangest places and in the most unexpected moments. So, in this article I will examine two cases whose protagonists were two paintings and their fortuitous findings.

The first picture is Sunset at Montmajour by Vincent Van Gogh, which had been relegated in an attic until 2013 when it was finally acknowledged as authentic. The second painting is Portrait of a Lady by Gustav Klimt, which had disappeared for a long time before being discovered in 2019 by two gardeners who were cleaning an area outside the Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery.

In conclusion, it is not usual to find by chance a masterpiece in your house or in places you often go to, but you must be careful to observe what surrounds us, because we must learn to recognize the beautiful little things that happen in our lives.
