Dot Validator Alliance. Why we are here.
Not a long time ago during the blockchain conference, Dr. Gavin James Wood has been asked: “What are the lessons you learned from coding Ethereum that you’ve brought to Polkadot?” The brilliant answer has followed: “Team is super important and making the right choices early on with who you bring on and the culture can make a huge difference to the long-term viability of the team and the project.” Indeed, this is super important. These ideas are relevant at any time.
The Polkadot developers community is one of the biggest communities in the blockchain space and it’s growing organically and the main thing is support. We are Dot Validator Alliance and we wrote Manifesto, it’s an excellent example for the others to follow in order to create an enabling environment for the ecosystem development and brighter future of the new Web3 internet. Dot Validator Alliance is not just a group of validators participating in the network, but it’s a group of local community leaders who are helping with development, creating content, consulting the community and promoting the Polkadot ecosystem.
Our goal — support at all levels, both technical and community level. In our ranks there are so many different people, mathematics, programmers, business advisors, investors and blockchain enthusiasts all over the world. We all dedicated ourselves to the only one ecosystem — Polkadot!
Polkadotters — founders of this community, Petr & Pavel, two friends from Czechia. They dive deep into the project from the very first moment they got acquainted with it. Participants of many hackathons and ambassadors in several projects. The Polkadotters community is very passionate about the development of the ecosystem.
Stakenode & Jimmy Tudeski are the engine for the Polkadot economy, participating in staking in different projects. On top of everything else, Stakenode is building the community in Poland, educating and incentivizing active members of the community. It is also worth mentioning Elevate CV — who helps project at an early stage and also helps with the further development.
One more member of our alliance is Michael REPE, who really loves to look under the Polkadot’s bonnet. Also, Michael is a big educator and he is convinced that the whole crypto community should build bridges and stop being too much committed to blockchain maximalism.
Patrick represents pathrocknetwork and Millenium club and they contribute a lot to the whole community, Dot Validator Alliance and the entire ecosystem. There is a very friendly atmosphere in this community and all members are helping each other with blockchain education.
bLd became involved in the Polkadot ecosystem by the end of 2020. He quickly started bLd Nodes straight away. Apart from supporting the network as validators, bLd is a smart contract developer, active Astar Network Ambassador and manager of the Polkadot French community.
Another new alliance member is dev0_sik and crifferent.de team. dev0_sik is a web3 native noderunner and active member of the community. Moreover, he is contributing immensely to the DeFi sphere helping the HydraDX team in delivering their project.
Luca is the founder of Iceberg Nodes, he spent a lot of time studying the Polkadot/Kusama ecosystem and helping other people: he’s admin of Polkadot Network Italia, Kusama Network Italia and almost all Italian Parachain groups on Telegram.
And of course, Alex from PromoTeam. He stands in solidarity with other Dot Validator Alliance members and signs the Manifesto. For him, being a validator is a philosophy. Validator is not just creating the blocks, he is an active member of the community. Promo team build the community steeply, help building business communications and strategies, promotion of the ecosystem and programming as well. His main goal, as well as Dot Validator Alliance’s goal, is to raise the value of the network and increase the adoption of the technology.
