Polkadot / Kusama

  • The Encode Club x Polkadot Hackathon is almost here. Starting on April 11th, explore the Polkadot ecosystem and bring your ideas to life through workshops, challenges, and more.
  • Moonsama has won the most recent Polkadot parachain lease auction. It accelerates the arrival of NFT-powered applications to the market by developing infrastructure and utility solutions.
  • Referendum 112, proposing to immediately increase the number of Polkadot validators in the active set from 297 to 500, is failing with 26% in favor.
  • Polkadot 0.9.41 has been released. This is a client-only (no runtime) release being released with MEDIUM upgrade priority.
  • On April 26–28, Polkadot is coming to Consensus 2023 with 15 different teams representing the ecosystem. Drop by the Polkadot booth to meet the teams behind some of the leading blockchains & dapps, and dive into the largest multichain ecosystem in Web3.

Litentry / Litmus

  • Litentry is introducing IdentityHub Alpha, an identity management tool that prioritizes privacy and security. Users can now link identities, create a Web3 user score, and generate verifiable credentials for controlled access and data sharing to dApps.
  • The balance transfer has been activated on the Litentry parachain. After multiple successful rounds of testing and development, you can now freely transfer funds between Litentry accounts.

Astar / Shiden

  • The first Wasm NFT Launchpad is coming to Astar. As one of the leading blockchain enablers, Paras continues to expand the endgame of NFTs as they bridge into the Astar network.
  • Astar had a celebration with the entire Polkadot community called Wasm Launch Day. The replay is available here.
  • In light of Wasm Launch Day, Cointelegraph has released its article on how Astar allows EVM to utilize Web Assembly for scalability simultaneously.
  • The Astar AI bot is now live on Discord.

  • Transfers from Kusama and Statemine to Kintsugi were temporarily halted on the UI. The issue was caused by the recent runtime upgrade 0.9.38 enacted on the Kusama and Statemine chains.

  • Cosmos reminds that its IBC is coming to Polkadot. The Centauri bridge being developed by Composable Finance will allow Cosmos chains to interact with the Polkadot ecosystem.

  • Estate Staking is now live on Bit.Country. Stake NEER in your estate to earn BIT rewards from an exclusive pool. 20% of all the BIT mined per round will be distributed to Estate Stakers.
