Parachain auctions and crowdloans
- Top 5 Polkadot auction crowdloan participants by the 24th of January:
- The next Polkadot parachain slot auction started on January 20 at block #8_666_910.
- After winning Kusama’s 21st auction, Integritee will be onboarded as its 23rd parachain (20-auction winning parachains, plus Statemine & encointer) at the start of lease 19. Three thousand network stakeholders locked up KSM in favor.
Polkadot / Kusama
- Polkadot version 0.9.50–1 has been released with LOW upgrade priority.
- The 7th episode of Substrate Saturday which is co-sponsored by OneBlock and ParityTech. Substrate 2021 year-end review: a review of key milestones in technology, application and projects in Substrate ecosystem.
- New Polkadot on-chain treasury proposal for an incentive program “Polkadot Pioneers Prize”. It will be a series of challenges, the first 2 of those challenges will be announced later this year. Total prize pool is projected to be 671460 DOT (~18M USD). Full proposal.

Bifrost
- Bifrost recorded and uploaded a recap of the Gather in 2022 event. It’s a fun way for its community members to learn about Bifrost’s 2022 roadmap and have fun participating in the Gathertown Secret Treasure Hunt.
- Now you can find RMRK at Bifrost wallet. Statemine assets are crossing into the Bifrost parachain in a decentralized way through the XCM and SPREE modules to complete the teleport. Soon, liquidity will ignite Statemine assets.

Note: Currently only Statemine -> Bifrost (cross-in) is supported, Bifrost -> Statemine (cross-out) is not working yet, so when you cross RMRK into Bifrost, it means that you cannot cross back to Statemine for the time being.
Astar / Shiden
- Astar Network has been developing for more than 2.5 years. And finally, they are going to enable token transfers very soon. A few days ago Maarten and Sota Watanabe explained Astar milestones 2022. Check out their plan in 2022 before the launch.
- Astar mainnet is launched on Polkadot. Developers are able to build their dApp on Polkadot with our developer tools. Transactions and EVM is enabled.

- Astar Network Staking Festival has been launched:
- Each pool has a max of 512 nominators;
- The min amount to stake: 500 ASTR;
- Vested and locked tokens can be stacked too;
- During the festival, the ratio of staker : pool is set to 99 : 1.

- RMRK NFT Garden is a powerful dashboard that real-time tracks market activities happening in the RMRK NFT marketplace.

ACA token transfers will be enabled on January 25th.

Moonbeam / Moonriver
- Moonscan now supports the Moonbeam Network. This integration brings the most widely-used EVM compatible block explorer that leverages Etherscan’s comprehensive feature set and reliability. Check out Moonscan on Moonbeam.
- Moonbeam Network has announced the availability of a one-way bridge from Statemine to Moonriver. This HRMP Channel makes it possible to move Statemine-based fungible assets like RMRK to Moonriver.
- Moonbeam hits 1 million transactions on the network. It is lighting up Polkadot’s ecosystem with new integrations, 100k+ wallets, 700+ ERC-20 tokens & 1M GLMR tokens locked with collators. See the network.
Phala / Khala
- Phala x Blender.
The partnership will further engage Phala Network with Blender’s powerful technology and provide Web3 rendering services for Metaverse. - In 2021, Phala had a wonderful journey and they are super excited to finally share it with everyone. See its Recap of 2021.
Darwinia / Crab
- New features of Subscan: Added EVM contract verification, code viewing, contract reading, and contract writing functions, which have been applied to the Darwinia Crab network, and will be applied to more networks with EVM modules in the future. Details.

- To promote Crab Network to developers, Darwinia Network announced a developer airdrop program. The developer airdrop program will distribute 200,000 CRAB, any Github account registered before Dec 30, 2021 will have the qualification to claim the airdrop.
Robonomics
Robonomics parachain mainnet has launched on Kusama Network. Developers are now able to control robotics through Web3 today. 15 pallets: DigitalTwin, Robot-as-a-service, IoT Subscription, Token, and Network maintenance are enabled. See more.
Composable Finance / Picasso
Picasso announced a collaboration with Umee Cross Chain, opening doors for users on the Cosmos Network, an entry point to the Dotsama ecosystem and vice versa using Centauri bridge, the first-ever bridge between the Cosmos and Kusama ecosystems.
Manta / Calamari
Calamari Network Runtime Upgrade 3.1.2: is planned in January. Runtime Support for Community Collator Program will be added. At the beginning, Calamari will open collator slots gradually due to keeping calamari stable. If the mainnet runs smoothly, the council will open more slots for community in the future.
SubDAO
SubDAO team will develop the Subdao Network protocol based on Solidity standard to adapt to the Moonriver network. The fully-fledged DAO functions will allow Moonriver / Moonbeam to serve its network and various ecosystems to which it is connected.

SORA parachain crowdloan has begun. Remember you can contribute directly or for a fast and intuitive experience, you can also use Fearless Wallet. Also you can track the auction in real-time.
KILT
KILT announced the launch of SocialKYC — a service for regaining control over your digital identity using KILT protocol.
SocialKYC and Sporran (KILT’s wallet), used together, allow users to manage and store their personal credentials, and decide which elements of their private information they share with online services.
Fearless Wallet
The Fearless Wallet team launched the Fearless Wallet 2.0. With this new release, Fearless Wallet is now a multi-asset/chain wallet that enables the Polkadot and Kusama community to manage their parachain assets simply and securely in one place.
