Polkadot Ecosystem Weekly Digest. March 14th — 20th.
Polkadot / Kusama
- Lease Period 7 has begun, and several parachains have connected to the Polkadot relay chain: Composable, Efinity, Nodle, Centrifuge, Interlay, and HydraDX.
- Polkadot’s XCMv3 now up for review and security audit. Watch out for the explainer article in the coming days.
- Referendum 55, proposing increasing the potential number of nominators and decreasing the minimum DOT to nominate to 10 DOT, passed successfully.
- Universaldot Foundation has been approved for a grant from Web3 foundation to build a decentralized freelancing application and has now completed the 1st milestone.
Zenlink
- Zenlink partners with InsurAce.io to provide insurance services to its users. More details about the partnership soon.
- Good to know: all parachains can build DEX with one click by integrating Zenlink DEX Protocol and sharing liquidity with Zenlink network.
- Zenlink announced the integration partnership with Gear Technologies. How will they collaborate on WASM to build Web3? Read this blog to get details.
- Zenlink plans to support hundreds or thousands of XC-20s. X-Transfer now supports KAR migration from Karura to Moonriver and access as xcKAR (check it here).
Interlay / Kintsugi
- The vote to activate KINT staking rewards has passed. They are active now.
- The MOVR/xcKINT farming pool has the highest APR of almost any pool. Claim your bootstrap contribution rewards + LP tokens and stake LP tokens to the farming pool to earn ZLK+ xcKINT+ MOVR multiple rewards. All details.
Phala / Khala
- Phala’s proposal aims to separate Phala Network Mining Reward tokenomic from relaychain. PHA token reward for workers will be based on total workers’ amount from both Phala and Khala, not bonded with either parachain.
- At present, Phala is the only parachain that supports Parity Technologies ink! contract besides Polkadot. Developers are able to experience the high-performance and confidential version ink! 3.0 in Secure Workers.
- Phala is bidding for the 7–14 Polkadot slot auction. They have upgraded Crowdloan strategy to 2.0 with doubled rewards: 1 DOT : 24 PHA and 1500 Phala World Whitelists for all contributors (limited). Previous Phala contributors will also get a 10% bonus. Details.
Astar / Shiden
5 new great projects have been added to the Astar ecosystem in the past 2 weeks.
KILT
- BOTLabs GmbH has secured a new slot for KILT Protocol for Kusama Network leases 20–27 with ParaID 2108. If the community decides, KILT will swap its lease with the new one.
- KILT launches DIDsign, a decentralized way to sign and verify files privately and securely. It allows you to sign any digital file — PDFs, audio, video, software — directly in your browser using a unique decentralized identifier (DID).
Litentry / Litmus
Litentry will participate in the Polkadot Batch 3 auctions starting from LP 8 (from Slot #14, for which the auction will open on 05/04/2022). Team is collecting ideas from the Community on Litentry Crowdloan.
SubQuery
SubQuery’s expertise will be used to provide greater insights for OAK Network when monitoring and observing blockchain activity for OAK on Polkadot, the Turing Network on Kusama and their Neumann testnet.
Reef
The Reef Card will be launched in late March 2022. Reef Card will allow users to use crypto in real life: transfer REEF to your card wallet, pay with your REEF, and your Reef Card automatically converts your crypto to fiat.
Darwinia / Crab
Crust Network has integrated with Crab Network to bring Web3 decentralized storage to the Kusama Ecosystem.
Moonbeam / Moonriver
- Karura Network’s native token KAR is now live on Moonriver Network, and Moonriver’s MOVR token can now be used on Karura. Once deposited on Moonriver as xcKAR (an XC-20 representation of KAR), KAR can be used across Moonriver’s active DeFi ecosystem.
- Subsquid is bringing its data-processing and API development framework to Moonbeam and Moonriver networks, accelerating development for Web3 builders.
- Polkassembly is live on Moonriver (coming soon to Moonbeam also). This integration allows MOVR token holders to directly participate in on-chain governance and discussion using their MetaMask wallet.
- Dapploker’s integration with Moonriver is live. Moonriver developers will be able to run SQL queries, create charts & dashboards to track their smart contracts KPIs and provide feedback on performance and adoption. Read more.
- Unchain.fund has added Moonbeam (GLMR) & Moonriver (MOVR) multi-sig addresses for donations. Now, the Moonbeam community will be able to support humanitarian aid to Ukraine with MOVR & GLMR.
Acala / Karura
- Acala’s Early Adopter Program has been extended until April 28th. The program is for users who bridge DOT to Acala to try the apps in the early stages of the Acala launch. In return they earn an NFT and a possibility to participate in liquidity pools & incentive programs.
HydraDX / Basilisk
Fresh HydraDX’s updates: decentralized collator set, Omnipool development and HDX transfers.
Equilibrium / Genshiro
- Equilibrium will be onboarded as the 12th parachain of the Polkadot network. Here is what to expect next.

Bifrost
- The 7–14 lease DOT redemption is now open for Darwinia, Litentry, Polkadex, Geminis, Phala, Crust and Coinversation. You can go to the Bifrost redeem tab, select the crowdloan you want to redeem from, and validate.
- Bifrost collator public beta rewards have been issued. 19999.8 BNC to 2,535 addresses. Full list.
- Another Polkadot eco parachain will launch mainnet Collator. Bifrost will open Collator access to achieve parachain autonomy and shared security. BNC staking at bifrost.app will also go live on March 22. Details.
