Announcing Fiat On-Ramp with Transak
Polkamarkets Labs is happy to announce that users of the Polkamarkets Web Application can now easily purchase MOVR, GLMR, and other tokens, with traditional payment methods such as bank transfers, credit cards, and other hyper-local methods. This feature is entirely offered by Transak, who already powers fiat on-ramps for many major players in the blockchain space.

Easier onboarding
Transak’s widget makes it easy for anyone to purchase crypto tokens with traditional payment methods such as bank transfers, credit cards, and dozens of local payment methods, and receive those tokens in any wallet address that the user decides.
The Polkamarkets Web Application now offers an in-app link once users connect their MetaMask wallet, allowing users to easily purchase tokens via third-party service methods.
Users that wish to buy MOVR or GLMR to onboard to the Polkamarkets Protocol can now do it directly from the Transak widget on the Polkamarkets Web Application.

The Polkamarkets Web Application simply offers an in-app link to launch Transak’s widget within the web application. Polkarmarkets Labs does not charge any additional fees on top of Transak’s normal fee, which will depend on the selected payment method. In addition, Polkamarkets Labs does not receive nor have access to any information regarding the KYC’ed users performing transactions on Transak, as per the web application’s Terms and Conditions.
How to get MOVR or GLMR tokens
To participate in the Polkamarkets Protocol, you need MOVR or GLMR tokens.
- By accessing the CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko pages for the tokens and identifying the exchanges that carry them
- By getting these tokens from Transak using the in-app link. After connecting MetaMask to the web application, a link to “Buy MOVR” or “Buy GLMR”, depending on what network you’re connected to, will show up next to your balance. Click it to start the process.
