How to place market predictions?
Learn how to buy/sell shares of market outcomes.
By this point, you’re connected to the web app and ready to place predictions on markets. In order to do so, head to the homepage and browse for the market you want to forecast.
How-to Instructions on Buying Shares
Select the outcome of the market you want to forecast by either clicking on the outcome on the homepage or selecting in the sidebar on the market page.
After selecting the outcome, a trading sidebar will appear on the right-hand side of the page. You’ll be able to see details, such as how many shares you’ll be able to buy with the amount you’re purchasing.

Review the transaction details and click “Buy”. You’ll be prompted with a Metamask notification. Double-check the details of the transaction on MetaMask, such as the amount you’ll be spending. After you’ve confirmed the transaction, a notification will pop up with a link to the transaction on a block explorer.
At this point, you can head over to your Portfolio to see all the outcomes you’ve purchased.
How To Sell Shares
The process of selling your positions is very similar to the buying process. From your Portfolio, the Homepage or the market detail page, click Sell on the Trade picker in the sidebar.
Review the trade details, such as the amount you’ll receive from the number of shares you’re selling. You won’t be able to sell more shares than the ones you hold, of course, but you can sell any portion of your position.
Review the transaction details and click “Sell”. You’ll be prompted by MetaMask to confirm the transaction — double-check all the details before you confirm it. After you’ve confirmed the transaction, a notification will pop up with a link to the transaction on a block explorer.
Your balance in the app and in MetaMask should update accordingly. You can see the history of all your trade details on the market page, in the bottom section.
