Pollen DeFi: The Fantasy Football of Asset Management

What is Pollen DeFi?
A straight forward question, but simply describing Pollen’s features does not do this amazing product justice.
So let’s take another approach. Pollen can be described in a similar way to Fantasy Football. But instead of creating your winning team out of star players, you create your winning portfolio out of star investment ideas. Afterwards you let your portfolio compete with other players. Just like in real football, what looks like a winning strategy on paper, is not always a guarantee for success. And, like in Fantasy Football, nobody wins all the time, thus the winners in Pollen DeFi are those who win on the most regular basis.
In Fantasy Football, if your team is at the top of the leaderboard, you can win prizes at the end of the season, as well as each week. If you’re regularly at the top, other players will likely try to copy your strategy so that they can instead win these prizes.
Similarly with Pollen DeFi, if your investment ideas make you a top Pollenator, then more delegators will want to copy your ideas and delegate their $PLN to you, and you earn a share of their profits in the process.
The dream of every Fantasy Football player is having an influence over what players their football club buy.
What if a top football club took all the top suggestions from the best Fantasy Football players to make one Dream Team? Asking supporters to chip in and buy the players for real.
Asset pools in Pollen work in a similar way. All the winning ideas from the top Pollenators get summarised into one winning portfolio and investors can now invest in this pool by buying the pool token. Their funds automatically get converted into buying the assets of this winning portfolio. When Pollenators change their investment strategy, the asset pool rebalances to follow the new strategy. Similar to how if your real team starts losing matches, you start substituting the players who underperform with better players.
