A superstar conservationist in Colombia was recently killed. Gonzalo Cardona Molina was a Colombian conservationist who is responsible for saving two species of parrots: the yellow-eared parrot and the indigo-winged parrot. Molina was particularly important in the restoration of the yellow-eared parrot population, which was thought to be extinct for a while.
