A New Account Tier is Here

We’ve heard your feedback time and time again about wanting to use Poloniex without giving up your identity. We’ve wanted to make this a reality for a while now and are sorry it has taken us longer than we’d like.

We’re excited to finally be able to tell you, it’s happening! Starting now, all new customers can sign up and begin trading using only an email address and password. Any customers who sign up from here on out can begin trading in seconds with a Level 1 account.

With Level 1, you’ll have access to unlimited trading, unlimited deposits, and $10,000 per day in withdrawals. You can also join in on competitions, take advantage of staking, and start trolling in Trollbox. As with any account, we highly recommend setting up 2FA as soon as possible to provide an extra layer of security. Check out the differences between Level 1 and Level 2 accounts here.

To our long-time unverified customers, we know how frustrating your experience has been recently and we’re dedicated to improving that for you. That’s why we prioritized creating this new account tier and are upgrading existing customer accounts as one of our first moves towards addressing the needs of our global crypto traders.

We want to provide all of our customers with the highest level of support and security possible as we upgrade accounts so it is going to take a little bit of time to get to everyone. We are beginning to unfreeze and upgrade existing unverified accounts to Level 1 now and will complete the upgrades over the next few months. We will notify you through your Poloniex account’s email address as soon as your account has been upgraded.
