ERC-20 based USDT is live!

Poloniex today enabled ERC-20 based deposits and withdrawals for Tether (USDT), meaning customers can freely withdraw or deposit to their preferred network: Omni, TRON, or Ethereum. USDT markets on Poloniex will be unaffected.
We’ve opted to support ERC-20 based USDT to give customers more flexibility and because Ethereum is faster and cheaper than Omni. It comes just a few months after we announced support for deposits and withdrawals of USDT on the TRON network.
This is one of multiple initiatives we’ve taken recently to make Poloniex the best possible exchange for crypto traders and enthusiasts around the world, including:
