Letter to our users upon the launch of our Liquid Staking product

Dear users,

The team here at Poloniex is thrilled to announce the launch of our new Liquid Staking product! This has been a labor of love for us and we are excited to finally share it with all of you.

But before we go into the details, let’s take a step back and talk about the current state of the crypto market. As we all know, the crypto market can be volatile and unpredictable at times. However, despite the ups and downs, we remain bullish on the long-term prospects of cryptocurrency. We believe that it has the potential to revolutionize the financial industry and bring greater financial inclusion to people around the world.

One way that users can participate in and support the growth of the crypto movement is through staking. For those who may not be familiar with staking, it is a way for holders of certain cryptocurrencies to earn passive income by supporting the security and decentralization of a blockchain network. By “staking” their crypto, users can contribute to the validation process and earn rewards for their contributions.

We’re also proud to be able to offer a product that prioritizes the concept of “safety over liveness”. This means that we prioritize the prevention of slashing risks and potential losses for our staking participants over maximizing uptime. We believe that this approach is key to gaining the trust of our users and providing a secure staking experience.

We are launching with 4 protocols: Cosmos (ATOM), Polkadot (DOT), Near (NEAR), and Solana (SOL). And we have plans to add even more cryptocurrencies in the near future. We are proud to be able to offer near-validator levels of APR, up to 23.75%! This product is a flexible staking product, which means our users will have the freedom to trade, buy, and sell their staked crypto and accrue rewards with the amounts they hold in their Earn account.
