What are Binance Coin and Binance USD?
Binance Coin (BNB) was launched in 2017 and initially served as an exchange platform token for Binance exchange. BNB has more recently swapped from being an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum token to the native token of Binance Chain. BNB now aims to provide utility across a range of different platforms, including as a transaction fee and voting token on Binance DEX and a payment token on travel websites. Binance USD (BUSD) is listed as an ERC-20 stablecoin issued on the Ethereum blockchain. BUSD is collateralized by US Dollars and issued by Binance. To celebrate our new listing, we’re also kicking off our BNB x BUSD Trading Competition!
From June 5, 2020 at 21:00 UTC to June 15, 2020 at 20:59 UTC, our customers can show off their trading skills with BNB & BUSD and win. Our BNB x BUSD Trading Competition will have a leaderboard for our Binance Coin traders and a leaderboard for our Binance USD traders and the top three BNB x BUSD traders overall will win additional prizes! All BNB traders who trade at least 65 BNB and all BUSD traders who trade at least 1,000 BUSD during the competition will win from a total prize pool of 50,000 BUSD.
Our BNB x BUSD Top Traders will receive rewards according to the table below.
The Binance Coin portion of the trading competition has a total prize pool of 20,000 BUSD, as outlined below.

Once the competition starts, you’ll be able to track your rank on our BNB x BUSD Trading Competition leaderboards. All customers’ ranks and trading volume will be based on the sum of all buys and sells for all BNB or BUSD pairs during the competition period.
