A Web3 ACGN (anime, comics, games, and novels) creator ecosystem, Isekai(@Isekai_ISK), was invited to Poly Network (@PolyNetwork2) AMA, taken place on January 4 in the Poly Network Telegram Community. From the Live AMA with Filo, Founder of Isekai, and Joshua, Co-founder of Isekai, this recap fully grasps the information discussed during the AMA.

INTRODUCTION

Poly Network is a global cross-chain protocol for implementing blockchain interoperability and building Web3.0 infrastructure. Poly Network has integrated 35+ blockchains, including Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, Fantom, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Optimism, Aptos, OKC, Neo, Ontology, Zilliqa, Harmony, Metis, etc. Since its launch, the protocol has enabled cross-chain asset transfers of more than USD 16 billion.

Isekai Metaverse is a Web3 ACGN (anime, comics, games, and novels) creator ecosystem. With our open-source creator protocol: Isekai Protocol, we will build a bottom-up ACGN metaverse where creators can use NFT culture legos to participate in community creation and eventually form an NFT content network. Isekai Metaverse provides various creation tools and distribution channels.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS IN LIVE AMA

Q1 What are the current pain points of the Web2 creator economy?

A: Either as an artist or a fan, we have witnessed so many injustices and exploitations in the ACGN industry. Young creators who are fully loaded with dreams, talents, passion, and ambition cannot have enough exposure to the public and the market, and they are being nobody suffering the waste of their talents.

Lack of control over distribution and monetization: Creators often have limited control over how their content is distributed and monetized, and may not receive a fair share of the profits generated by their work.

Dependence on centralized platforms: Many creators are reliant on centralized platforms (such as YouTube or Patreon) to reach their audience and generate income. This can make them vulnerable to changes in platform policies and algorithms, which can impact their visibility and earnings.

Limited ownership of content: Creators may not have full ownership of the content they create, and may be required to give up certain rights in order to publish or distribute their work on certain platforms.

Difficulty in building and maintaining an audience: It can be difficult for creators to build and maintain a large and engaged audience, especially in the face of competition from other creators and the sheer volume of content available online.

Lack of transparency: Creators may not have access to transparent information about how their content is being distributed and monetized, making it difficult for them to understand and optimize their earning potential.

Q2 What possibilities can Web3 bring to the creator economy?

A: Web3 technologies have the potential to bring about significant changes to the creator economy, particularly in terms of how creators are able to monetize their work and how they are able to interact with their audience. Some of the key possibilities that Web3 technologies may bring to the creator economy include: New monetization models; Increased ownership and control; Improved transparency and fairness; Greater reach and accessibility.

Crypto’s success at attracting public development is similarly due to its general endorsement of open source and “remix culture,” which is especially true for some NFT communities.

These sorts of derivatives can be a win-win for all — not just for the original creators — especially for projects that are leveraging NFT assets to build novel brands: The derivative borrows some brand awareness from the source project; then, as people become independently aware of the derivative, that can drive new interest in the original.

Q3 What do you think of “create to earn”? Is it possible that “create to earn” will become a new paradigm?

A: Web3 has the potential to revolutionize the creator economy by introducing new ways of monetizing, distributing, and validating digital content. Through tokenization, Web3 could enable creators to receive direct payments from readers or viewers and to receive a larger proportion of the revenue generated from their content. It also has the potential to create new models for collaboration, allowing creators to work together to create and monetize content, and enabling them to split the profits in an equitable way. Blockchain technology could also help to protect the authenticity of content, providing creators with a new way to prove ownership and ensure their work is not copied or stolen. Finally, Web3 could provide greater transparency and traceability for creators, allowing them to track their content and the engagement it receives.

I think “create to earn” is a great idea, as it encourages people to create something that has value. Whether or not it will become a new paradigm will depend on how successful people are at creating products or services that can generate significant income. If enough people are able to make it work, then it’s certainly possible that it could become a new paradigm.

Q4 Why did Isekai choose Poly Network among others for partnership?

A: Poly Network provides users with a better next-generation internet infrastructure. Poly Network is based on the side-chain/relay mode and adopts a two-layer architecture. It employs the Poly chain as a cross-chain coordinator, multiple homogeneous chains as cross-chain transaction executors, and Relayer as a cross-chain information porter. By resolving issues such as trust, security, and transaction issues of chain data, we have realized a safe, easy-to-use, and efficient cross-chain system.

And this new cross-chain technology will be helpful for us to build our creator ecosystem since we need more Web2 creators to come to Web3, a safe and easy-to-use technology will lower the barrier of access for users.

Q5 Any exciting plan for future developments? What shall users expect?

A: At the end of January, we will launch our first 5555 NFTs. Then we will invite our NFT holders and creators to participate in an alpha test of our platform. Creators can create derivative works upon the NFTs we launched or use them as materials or references in visual novel making.

In March, our platform will officially be launched; everyone can create derivative illustrations, music, and novels on our website. Our visual novel editor will also be launched. Users can use all the NFT materials, including illustration, music, and scripts, to make visual novels.

We will launch more well-produced NFTs to allow creators to have more high-quality materials for their visual novels in the future. Our launchpad will also be opened to creators soon, so they can launch their original NFTs.

The AMA with Isekai was successfully concluded. We will have more AMAs coming in the following weeks. Please stay tuned!
