Win stakes by betting in our weekly eSports games

We recently finished rewriting the PolyCash protocol. Now, we have all the functionality we need to start playing games for real money. Games played for Bitcoin will launch soon. Until then, we’re running a series of games paid out in stakes. Stakes will have tangible value once we launch our custom blockchain and get listed on an exchange. That could be a while so until then you’ll have hold on to your stakes.

Last Tuesday we launched an eSports betting game which was completed today (Oct 13, 2018). eSports Live launched with a supply of 1 million betcoins which were divided into chunks of 10,000 and given out to the first 100 users who entered an email address. The PolyCash foundation contributed 100,000 stakes to the game reward fund (1000 stakes per player). Each player was randomly assigned a staking strategy which bet their coins for them a couple of times each day. This game had a theoretical inflation rate of 0.5% per 50 minutes. In practice it had an inflation rate of 10% per day. The game ended with 1.4257M betcoins in circulation and a final exchange rate of 14.257 betcoins per stake. The worst performing player had a payout of 597 stakes while the best performing player received 1,583 stakes. In this game, players who bet on the favorite in each match had the best returns while players who always bet on the underdog had the worst returns.

We’re starting another game soon. To be entered in to the next game, just sign up for a user account via http://poly.cash. In this next game, you won’t automatically be assigned a strategy. To perform well, you’ll need to log in and select a staking strategy. Or, log in occasionally and bet manually on your favorite eSports teams. This game will end on Friday, October 19th.
