How Do You Make Profits from a Play-To-Earn Game? The Polygod Economy Explained

We set out on a journey in what we knew to be a very competitive market, holding ourselves to a standard higher than ever before. With many developers looking at the opportunities that blockchain technology provides, our team aims to provide users with a Play-to-Earn game that stands out from the rest. We believe this is possible through the provisions of an ecosystem that includes exciting gameplay, top-tier graphic design, and most importantly, the chance for players to truly boost their income.

Unfortunately, while the concept of play to earn has become increasingly common, many games fail to deliver the rewards they promise their community, leaving players empty-handed. In the world of traditional gaming, this is not too different from what gamers are already experiencing, which is no reward at all for the time and monetary contributions a player makes to the community.

An Opportunity for Real Rewards

Recognizing this pain point early on, one of our major motivations in creating Polygod was to provide players with several opportunities to earn without losing out on the entertainment value. So, “how can I earn?” you might ask. Here is our answer:

In PVP Gameplay

Polygod operates as a tower rush video game, in which players are tasked with destroying their opponent’s towers. When engaging in battles, players will earn XP points, which allows them to mint our in-game currency MYNT. After accumulating these tokens, players can convert them into fiat currency for a profit or use them to purchase NFTs for future gameplay, as an investment towards passive income opportunities.

Additionally, when players first join Polygod, a digital wallet will be included in their starter pack. This will serve as their access point into the decentralized financial ecosystem. MYNT will be the currency used to pay for game fees or in the buying, selling, trading, or upgrading of assets and in-game characters, who then may have an advantage in other profit-earning opportunities.

Participating in Tournaments

A second opportunity players have to earn is to participate in tournaments. Players may start out in weekly competitions held by the Polygod team, which include 16 players and four games. If a player successfully wins all four games, they will receive 66% of the pool prize, which after deducting the 10% cut from Polygod, amounts to a first prize of $190 and a second-place prize of $95.

Further, as players improve in their abilities, they may become eligible to participate in a monthly tournament. These tournaments are larger, involving 64 competitors and six games, along with a $100 entry fee put into the total prize pool. By being victorious in this tournament, players may be eligible to win the equivalent of a $3800 first prize or the $1900 second prize.

Selling Collectible NFTs

We have also incorporated an in-game marketplace into the Polygod ecosystem, where players can trade Contracts, Badges, and Warriors with other community members. This feature is possible since all assets are built for trading, differentiated by their utility and power, thereby enhancing their appeal for traders and collectors.

As a result, any rare collectibles may be auctioned off at a profit or rented to another player as a passive income stream. In traditional gaming, not based on the blockchain, characters and other digital goods are controlled by the developer. However, in Polygod, players control these NFTs and may use them as an opportunity to earn.

Token Farming

Alternatively, players may have purchased $GULL tokens in support of our project itself. Players that choose to deposit these tokens into the pool can be rewarded with $MYNT tokens, a total of 0.15% of the total volume available on the game exchange.
