PolySwarm, announced today its partnership with K7 Security to further advance its ecosystem of quality malintent detection. K7 Security will integrate its malware detection engine into the PolySwarm’s network and will participate as an Arbiter as well.

K7 Security’s cyber threat detection expertise, honed over decades, is encapsulated in K7’s micro-engines which will be instrumental in helping to establish ground truth, as one of the first Arbiters, when verifying the claims of experts in the larger cyber community. K7 Security micro-engines will also weigh in with independently qualified assertions about various cyber threats, further contributing to the pool of threat intelligence data.

“The PolySwarm network is a highly innovative concept that decentralizes the evaluation of myriad cybersecurity threats,” said Kesavardhanan Jayaraman, K7 Security CEO. “This ecosystem actively engages and rewards talented cyber experts with disparate specialized skill sets from around the world who would otherwise not have had opportunities to contribute to global cyber safety.”

With this partnership, PolySwarm continues to expand its open and crowdsourced ecosystem by onboarding new anti-malware engines, enabling them to generate passive income by accurately detecting threats and to access a vast stream of malware samples to improve their products while providing broader, more accurate protection for consumers.

“We are very excited to have K7 Security join the growing network of PolySwarm’s micro-engines” said Steve Bassi, PolySwarm CEO. “As the number of powerful security engines in the PolySwarm network expands, so does the coverage against threats, ensuring enterprises are properly fortified against evolving malware”
