PolySwarm announced today its partnership with SecureAge to further advance its ecosystem of quality malintent detection. SecureAge will integrate its malware detection engine into the PolySwarm’s network.

The SecureAge APEX Engine harnesses the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to take on the threats of today and tomorrow. Leveraging on the power of big data, the APEX engine goes beyond traditional scanners by effectively and reliably spotting malicious patterns to allow for quick decisions based on prior experience. It can adaptively update its knowledge against newer and unseen malware variants that may attempt to infect endpoints during an outbreak. This approach makes it incredibly faster at detecting zero-day threats while having minimal footprint regarding performance and disk space when compared to traditional anti-malware engines.

- Dr. Ngair Teow-Hin, SecureAge’s CEO stated “Polyswarm’s ecosystem provides a unique platform that allows a broader audience to access innovative detection technologies that are available in the market. This system makes it the perfect venue for the SecureAge APEX engine to flex its predictive capabilities to detect threats that non-traditional methods may otherwise miss.” Ni, Software Engineer from SecureAplus team added “Just as we are pushing for the cutting-edge when it comes to developing the APEX engine, the Polyswarm’s intersection of blockchain technology and cybersecurity presents an exciting direction that spurs the industry to new heights.”

With this partnership, PolySwarm continues to expand its open and crowdsourced ecosystem by onboarding new anti-malware engines, allowing them to generate passive income for accurately detecting threats and access a vast stream of malware samples to improve their products while providing broader, more accurate protection for consumers.

“We are very excited to have SecureAge join the growing network of PolySwarm’s micro-engines,” said Steve Bassi, PolySwarm CEO. “As the number of powerful security engines in the PolySwarm network expands, so does the coverage against threats, ensuring enterprises are properly fortified against evolving malware.”
