The Court Cards: Pentacles

We have arrived at the final set of Court Cards, the Pentacles. The extroverts of the suits — those are the pentacles. By “extroverts” I mean the Pentacle expresses the world directly, without mask or reservation. It always takes the direct path to its unfoldment.

This is not to say the Pentacles are shallow. They can be quite deep. As deep as Karma that is dredged from the soul. But Pentacles represent the shadow of that Karma as well, which is what is presented to the world, following the individual to whom it is attached throughout his/her/their journey.

What the world sees is Success, or the lack. Which is the shadow. Which is but reflected up and out from the Soul’s past.

The Page of Pentacles

The Pentacle is nearly floating off the fingertips of our young Page. He gazes at it while the earth is at peace: the fields tilled, not a breeze in the air, the trees still and in magnificent foliage. The grass beneath the Page’s feet is alive with blossoms and greenery.

On the actual card, the sky is a brilliant yellow color, not the orangeness that is depicted here.

A truer orange would be the Page’s hat and the fabric that trails down and over his shoulder. It is not the red of…
