Polyup in 6th to 8th Grade Classes
You can use Polyup in your math classes and let your students share the joy of problem solving. Polyup also helps students become more engaged in mathematics and grow their own mathematical mindset.
Polyup is great for teaching many middle-school math topics. Specifically, Polyup can help students improve in areas including: order of operations, sequences and series, functions, solving equations, types of function growth, and much, much more.
You have flexibility in how to use Polyup in your class — some teachers use it in 5 to 10 minute sessions as a warm-up or cool-down, and others use it in a half-hour session per week. Students should be encouraged to play with Polyup out of class, and you can even design assignments for them or let them work on projects and design new Poly Machines themselves.
You can use Poly Machines for Grades 6 to 8, to find activities suitable for your class. Hover over the machines to reveal the barcodes, or click on them to see an accompanying presentations. Students can scan the barcode or enter the digital code to play the machine.
