Kids were inspired to create the painting “Soft Hard” by the Russian master artist, Wassily Kandinsky. Their interpretations captured the movement, energy, and emotion in the painting and brought it into interactive 3D experiences.
Each startup team designed a version of the work with 2D or 3D parts. The criteria was that colors, textures, and composition can be changed, but the shapes and forms should be loyal to the original artwork. Kids were guided to think about each of the objects in this painting as a character and to create a story around all the characters that story come to life in a short animation.
