Polyup at Mountain View High School

Polyup was invited to present at Mountain View High School (MVHS) on October 24th. We presented to three of Mr. Dilloughery’s classes: two programming classes and one game design class. After a brief intro presentation (and a look into the Unity backbone of the app for the game design class), most of each session was hands-on—students downloaded and played with Polyup on their own devices.

We gave the students a survey to fill at the end of class to get their feedback. Turns out the students loved Polyup—they rated it over 7.8 out of 10 on average—and had some great inputs for the app! For example, they asked if we could change Poly’s look, such as eye size or smile shape. We had never previously considered letting users change more than just Poly’s color.
