Polywhale Academy [2] — How to migrate from Binance Smart Chain to Polygon

After some requests from our community, we are back at it with another tutorial. Hopefully, this is helpful.
FYI, Polygon used to be called Matic before their rebrand. This explains why Polygons network is called the Matic Mainnet.
Overview
A lot of people are currently using the Binance Smart Chain and want to know how to move from the Binance Smart Chain to the Matic Mainnet. Since there is no direct bridge between these networks, you need to bridge your funds to the Ethereum Mainnet first.
This tutorial will show you how to bridge your funds from Binance Smart Chain to the Ethereum Mainnet. Once you successfully have bridged your funds from Binance Smart Chain to Ethereum Mainnet, you can follow our previous tutorial to get started with farming on Polywhale:

We have simplified all these steps in this article. You’ll be done in no time and will only need to follow these steps once.
Quickest Route
If you’re after the quickest route from Binance Smart Chain to Matic, then you want to be using: https://www.xpollinate.io/
This is a simple bridge that has very small fees, the only downside is that you can only bridge using USDC/USDT/DAI.
Step 1 — Setting up a wallet with Matic Mainnet
1. Go to https://www.binance.org/en/bridge
2. Before you do anything on the site, you need to change your Metamask network to Binance Smart Chain.
3. Connect your wallet.
4. Choose the token you want to send. The token has to be on both the BSC and Ethereum chain. Proceed by choosing the networks. “From” should be Binance Smart Chain. “To” should be Ethereum.
5. Choose the amount you want to send and add the Ethereum wallet address you want to receive the funds on. Proceed by clicking “Next”.
6. Confirm the transaction.
7. Submit the transaction.
8. Confirm the transaction in Metamask.
9. Once you have done that, you funds are on the way to the Ethereum Mainnet.
10. You are now ready to start bridging your funds from the Ethereum Network to the Matic Mainnet.
