We are looking for a Middleweight UX Designer to join Pomegranate. You will be working in our UX design team helping with creating innovative solutions for product strategies and digital experiences for our clients.

Who are we?

We are Pomegranate Media, an agency recognised as experts in customer experience design, who deliver tangible results for clients with challenger brands, who need to solve identified and unidentified business needs. We are a relatively small team, who work closely together to create real value for our customers. We believe in user-centered design principles and consistently apply them to every project, no matter what sector or company size we’re dealing with. Our approach to design, which we call Emotional Ignition is based on aligning business needs with both functional and emotional needs of the users in order to create a well-balanced customer experience.

We are a pretty relaxed bunch, who respect each other, but are not afraid of office banter. Everybody at Pomegranate have an area of ownership and considerable input into key decisions, including determining your own approach.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with some big and well known brands from our varied and exciting client portfolio.

About you

As this is a Mid to Senior role, we require at least 2–3 years of commercial experience in UX design or UX research.
You are a team player, who is confident in communicating with others in a cross-functional environment — developers, UI designers, content creators, developers, marketers. Passion for user-centered design flows through your veins and you always question and test assumptions. You have experience in working throughout the whole UX design process — from business analysis, user research and architecture, through to prototyping, testing and overseeing final designs. You are an advocate of data-informed design and thrive in conversations about the intricacies of responsive and native mobile design. Also — it would be great if knew a thing or two about business, as often you would be working with our business analyst and the clients in analysing business models.

Required skills and experience:

  • a deep understanding of the principles of human-computer interaction and behavioural psychology
  • proficiency in responsive web and native mobile design
  • rapid prototyping skills (HTML/CSS/jQuery)
  • working experience with at least 4 of the following tools: Sketch, InDesign, Axure, InVision, Marvel, UserTesting.com, Optimizely
  • fluency in using a variety of user research methods, both of qualitative and quantitative nature
  • understanding of web analytics, including working knowledge of Google Analytics
  • ability facilitate client meetings, workshops and presentations
  • Strong portfolio of commercial projects

We also wouldn’t complain if you had:

  • Knowledge about business strategy and marketing
  • Experience with HotJar and Google Tag Manager
  • Degree in HCI, product design, service design or similar.
  • Experience in applying Agile project management practices to the design process

Job title: User Experience Designer

Experience: Mid-Senior Level

Employment Type: Permanent; full-time; available from late October.

Where to apply? Please send your CV and portfolio to michal@pomegranate.co.uk
