Pomerium Announces Easy Blockchain Access Through Gaming at IXO 2024
Pomerium, a leading Web3 gaming platform, has unveiled its mission to make Web3 technology more accessible through community-centric games and engaging memes at IXO 2024.
Hsu Ting, Chief Marketing Officer of Pomerium, delivered a keynote titled “Future of Web3 Gaming” on July 9th, discussing the platform’s vision and strategic direction.
Hsu Ting highlighted that Pomerium, based in Singapore and founded in 2021, boasts a team of 110 employees and is backed by angel investors. She emphasized that the major barriers to Web3 adoption are its complexity and subpar quality. Pomerium aims to overcome these challenges by making blockchain technology accessible to everyone.
To achieve this, Pomerium focuses on creating user-friendly UX/UI and fostering a strong, intimate community for Web2 users, facilitating a smoother transition to Web3. Hsu Ting stated, “We are enhancing the quality of Web3 games and lowering the barriers for users transitioning from Web2 to Web3.”
Pomerium has developed Pomerium PFP using its unique characters, available on the Polygon chain. The initial offering of 3,333 units sold out in just one minute, and a second 2D version is set to launch soon.
The platform has successfully launched three mobile games: Pome Run, Pome Survival, and Pome Rumble. An upcoming game, Pome World, will have its event page open next month, with plans for fast onboarding and various user events.
Pomerium’s Guardians service provides game verification to prevent data abuse. Users who purchase Guardians can act as data verifiers and earn rewards in PMG, Pomerium’s ecosystem token. To date, about 6,300 Guardians have earned $11 million in revenue, with PMG trading volumes reaching $1.4 billion.
Hsu Ting also mentioned partnerships with top-tier companies like The Sandbox, Line Next, and Samsung Galaxy (for the A24 Pomerium Edition), contributing to a robust community of over 320,000 users.
Globally, Pomerium has hosted several meetups and participated in Web3 events to guide and educate Web2 users transitioning to Web3, providing comprehensive access guidelines.
