TomoZ and TomoX represent the largest democratisation of technology within the world of cryptocurrencies. As Relayers, it is your responsibility to bring them together.

The rise of TomoZ

At the time of writing this article, 118 TRC21 tokens have been created on the TomoChain network. Some tokens have been created by companies leveraging the technology to drive business improvements to the benefit of their customers, others by TomoChain enthusiasts such as Pomodoro looking to spread awareness.

Combining the ease of token issuance with the imminent launch of the TomoX protocol presents an opportunity, and a responsibility, which Relayers cannot ignore.

A new market

Cryptocurrencies captured the international limelight in 2017 with the meteoric rise in the number of Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs). The hype and noise around this new market drove market capitalisation to $825 billion by January 2018. Today, over 5,000 projects are recognised by CoinMarketCap.

The growth of ICOs was made possible by Ethereum, a pioneering protocol which remains dominant for new project development. Whilst highly successful, even Ethereum nevertheless presents barriers for entry to those who are not developers. This blocker has been resolved by the arrival of TomoZ, which has changed the landscape of token issuance allowing anyone to launch a token in minutes. This new paradigm has opened the door to a new, alternative token market united under TOMO. A market of tokens created and issued by enthusiasts.

At the time of publishing this post, TomoChain has over 20,000 Twitter followers. Imagine if just 2% of these followers created TRC21 tokens and promoted their project across different social media platforms, what would this look like? A vibrant, volatile, noisy market driven by passionate TomoChain supports encouraging others to claim tokens an trade up to TOMO. Like 2017, but fully open to everybody.

Could the number of TRC21 tokens exceed 5,000 by the end of 2021? We certainly think so.

This is the vision we see for TomoChain in 2020 — the excitement and energy of a new market driven by the community.

The role of Relayers

This story is ultimately a love letter to Relayers. Without the support for a TRC21 market by Relayers, this will not happen and the potential of a TomoZ market will be nothing but an idea.

Relayers have the opportunity to compete for different token pairings including options for TOMO on-ramps. Which TRC21 token wouldn’t want a TOMO pairing? The competition would remarkable.

So, we come to the question (and ultimate purpose of this post) — As a privileged holder of Relayer status, will you be the one to make this happen?

About Pomodoro (POMO)

Pomodoro was established in October 2019 with the primary objective of improving accessibility to the TomoChain ecosystem for those either unfamiliar with, or unable to afford, TOMO. Pomodoro has gone about this by minting POMO, a TRC21 token utilising the TomoZ protocol (all transfer fees are paid by Pomodoro making them free for holders), and distributing them freely via a drop site. Pomodoro aims to become a gateway for new users with POMO integrated in all areas of the ecosystem.
