The past week has been an exciting time for all the TomoChain ecosystem. The launch of the TomoX protocol brings us one big step closer to creating the future of DeFi, with new decentralised exchanges (‘Relayers’) registering every day.

Ever since the Pomodoro token was first minted, the aim of this project has remained focused on spreading awareness TomoChain’s technology and welcoming new users into the community. The POMO token has always been freely distributed, and this will not change following this week’s Twitter poll

Application to TomoX

Earlier today, we applied for the TomoX protocol. This does not mean that POMO will be automatically listed — all it means is that POMO can now be chosen by Relayers for listing.

If you would like a Relayer to list POMO, you can help this happen through the following:

  1. Request that your favourite Relayer lists POMO. If a Relayer sees a demand for listing a token, they will list it.
  2. Request for a specific trading pair, whilst many of you would like to see a POMO/TOMO pairing, pairing with another TRC21 token would be an extremely exciting step (see below).
  3. Spread awareness of TomoChain by sharing POMO. The more people who hold POMO, the more demand there will be for it to be listed.

Pomodoro is a community project — its success is dependent upon active engagement from it’s followers.

Why you should trade POMO

POMO is a freely distributed token. Aside from being free to transfer, it has no additional function from which to derive value. With this in mind, why should you trade it?

With the creation of the TRC21 token standard, anyone can launch a token within minutes using TomoIssuer, and as of today over 160 tokens have been minted. This creates an amazing opportunity to build a vibrant TRC21 trading environment, driving awareness of TomoChain and increasing the value of the network. Here at Pomodoro we would love to see dozens of community-launched tokens being traded against each other.

Were POMO to be given a TOMO pairing, it would only have value were holders to actively trade (buying POMO as well as selling). The more you trade, the higher the volume and the more the appeal. No one should expect to be able to sell their POMO unless demand is first created.

Most importantly, trading would allow those new to crypto (and TomoChain) to experience the TomoWallet and to try their hand at trading. Share your POMO and help others to learn.

The next steps

Whilst we excitedly await the launch of TomoDEX on 18th May, we shall be closely monitoring the community’s thoughts on our TomoX application. So please share your thoughts.
