A year has passed and now, I came back to Japan for another autumn season.

If you arrived at Kansai International Airport (KIX), and want to take a train to Osaka or Kyoto, there are 2 options.

  1. Nankai
  2. JR West Limited Express Haruka

After use Nankai’s service for a long time. I decided to switch to JR West’s one.

JR West’s train has a name, “Haruka”, “Limited Express Haruka”, or “Haruka Express”, which has direct route to central of Osaka, and Kyoto.

I’ve found that, this year, JR West painted their train with cute character from Sanrio, Hello Kitty.

You’ll found her in many part of the train, from outside to inside, while you can enjoy convenient seat

Tips for you

  • JR West has a special ticket for traveler (we called it a “Passport”) which you can purchased from your travel agency before arrive Japan
  • The one I choose is, Kansai Wide Area Pass
  • You cannot buy this “Pass” ticket inside Japan.
  • You can hopped in Haruka Express with Kansai Wide Area Pass at Kansai International Airport, but for non-reserved seat only, which may run out.
  • You can guarantee your seat by enter JR West Ticker office. And You have to pay reserved-seat fee.

I hope you will enjoy Japan in autumn like me. Please feel free to ask in comment 😁
