Robotaxis meet 100 years of service excellence

We are thrilled to announce that we are collaborating with Bosch to develop and pilot fleet maintenance solutions that enable the efficient and scalable operation of commercial autonomous fleets.

One of many benefits of autonomous driving technology is the prospect of optimizing fleet operations for continuous service and reduced downtime — two major inefficiencies of vehicles on the road today. By teaming up with Bosch, we are creating innovative automotive fleet maintenance and repair solutions hand-in-hand with the world’s oldest and largest car service network.

Bosch has a long-standing reputation in vehicle maintenance and operates the Bosch Car Service network, which will turn 100 years old next year. With the network’s state-of-the-art software solutions and highly sophisticated technicians, we will run multiple experiments together that will help us create effective maintenance solutions tailored to autonomous vehicles. These learnings and solutions will be critical to laying a foundation for operating robotaxis at scale.

As the first step, we have launched a pilot focused on robotaxi fleet maintenance at an undisclosed Bosch Car Service location in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our goal is to test fleet readiness and operational efficiency, and we aim to have a fully autonomous multi-platform fleet with the highest uptime in the industry.

Autonomous vehicles are incredibly complex and continuously evolving systems that need to be maintained to the highest standards possible. We are excited to collaborate with Bosch to create the industry standard in autonomous vehicle fleet operation and maintenance, as we move closer to our vision of a safe and autonomous mobility future.
