Over the last 3 weeks, 20 teams have been building on the PoolTogether Protocol as part of the Gitcoin NY Blockchain Week Hackathon. We’re proud to share what they’ve built and who won the $4,000 in prizes!

Create A Pod & Microsite — $1,500

Our first bounty challenged teams to take advantage of thew new “pod” feature to create a new pod for people to link their tickets and split prizes!

WINNER: Donut Pod

Built by Pierrick, we loved the idea of building a “Donut Pod” to appeal to users of Reddit. The Donut Pod is currently deployed on Kovan!

Second Place: PodTogether

PodTogether enables anyone to create their own pod with a single click! Currently deployed on mainnet and currently under construction!

Honorable Mention: Spend Pod

Best PoolTogether Project — $1,000

This was our catch all bounty for any ideas people had to get more money, attention, or people in the pool! This was a close category with lots of competition!

WINNER: PoolTogether Bot

Built by the Hal Team, the PoolTogether bot monitors new deposits and prize awards on Twitter and Discord, we think it’s a great way to track the growth of the project! Even better, the Hal Team created a guide so anyone can now create their own bots!

Second Place: PoolTogether with Sports Predictions & Aave + PoolTogether

We had a two way tie for second place! We love both these projects. The first enables the creation of prize pools that are paid out based on the winner of sporting matches. The second one allows users of Aave to deposit their interest into PoolTogether.

Honorable Mention: Feed The Prize, PodVE

Microsite To Onboard Users To PoolTogether — $1,000

This bounty was designed to show new ways of explaining PoolTogether and joining the pool!

Winner: PoolTogether 101

We thought this was a beautifully built and well explained site! We loved the direct links to the Argent Wallet for easy usage and mobile friendly build.

Second Place: Digital Bonds & PoolTogether Welcome

The Digital Bonds site has wonderful simplicity! The PoolTogether Welcome site has a great depth of information.

Honorable Mention: PoolTogether Web App by Matt Solomon, Pool Faster by Saimano, Join PoolTogether, Four Steps,

Best Video Explaining PoolTogether — $500

We awarded this bounty to the team making the best new video getting people excited about PoolTogether

Winner: Nestor’s Video

Made by Nestor we thought the simplicity and fun animations of this video were great!

Second Place: What if You Could…

Great animations in this video and love the messaging around “What if You Could”.

Honorable Mentions: Imagine a World

Thank You!

We are so happy with all the teams that participated in this hackathon, we’ve learned a lot and we’ll have more hackathons coming soon! Until then, join us on Discord to discuss our development efforts!
