Leo Sawikin Risks Everything For Love on “Jumping from So High”
“Heaven is tucked away in hell.”
“Jumping from So High,” the latest single from singer-songwriter Leo Sawikin, conveys listeners into the emotional space between yearning for love and exposing yourself to rejection — the state of susceptibility known as vulnerability.
Sawikin explains, “This song is about the beauty and bravery of allowing yourself to fall in love. Of opening up, letting your guard down, and stepping into the unknown with your heart fully exposed. It captures that delicate space where vulnerability and hope intersect — where there’s fear but also freedom in choosing to trust someone else with your emotions.”
The song is lifted from Sawikin’s upcoming EP, Edge of Everything, produced by Phil EK (Built to Spill, The Shins, Modest Mouse). In 2021, Sawikin released his debut album, Row Me Away, followed by 2025’s long player, Till You’re Somebody Else, featuring “The Life We Choose” and “The Same Mistakes.”
