Music Premiere: Vanderwolf Unveils Marvelous New Single “The Path of Love”
Based in SoCal, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Vanderwolf releases his brand-new single, “The Path of Love, exploring the need for love in today’s fragmented world. The song is the sixth and final part of his bold Singles Club project.
Vanderwolf explains, “The world is spiraling into a tragic hellscape…So…let’s sing a love song? I don’t typically write love songs, but now, more than ever, we need to reintroduce love into the public discourse. The algorithm rewards hateful vitriol: love has no place in it. But in troubled times, love is an act of defiance.”
The song was first written and recorded in London in the 000s, beginning as a lap-steel guitar sketch that was produced by Chris Wyles in his Camberwell Studio. However, the song was deemed too serious and not stylistically suited to Vanderwolf’s at that time band, Last Man Standing. It was put on the back burner.
