Mynd Reader Unleashes New Single/Music Video “Home”
Rock outfit Mynd Reader unveils their new single/music video, “Home,” the final single from their upcoming debut album, slated to drop on September 19.
Talking about the song, lead vocalist Shelby Kemp says, “This one’s about the magnetic pull of that place you belong — whether it’s a person, a town, or a song. For us, it’s rock and roll. It’s home.”
“Home” was mixed by Grammy-winner Michael Brauer, while the video was shot in and around Boulder, Colorado, the band’s hometown. “Home” narrates the impact of place that defines our yearning for connection and a sense of belonging.
Mynd Reader is led by Tonin and Brian Sachs, who played drums for the jam band The Authority. Sachs has shared the stage with Phish, Blues Traveler, and Dave Matthews. After The Authority’s manager, Bill Graham, passed away, the band dissolved. Even with all this, Sachs kept writing songs and playing.
When Sachs teamed up with Tonin, a certain magic appeared. Tonin’s gift for melody blended with Sach’s lyrical talent. Together, the two create innovative soundscapes brimming with raw energy and ever-evolving sonic flair.
